Minced
About one small knob, finely grated
Place a small pot on medium heat and drizzle in 2 tablespoons of oil, add garlic and ginger. Saute for 30 seconds. Pour in the mirin, sake and coconut aminos and bring to a boil. Cook for 2 minutes.
Mix the cornstarch with some water and add to the sauce. Cook for another 30 seconds to thicken. Add sesame seeds and pour into a jar. Let cool to room temp for the flavors to meld and the alcohol flavor to soften. Save in the refrigerator until needed.
