This versatile sauce is used in Vietnamese dishes. It can serve as a dressing over a green salad, noodles or over a Vietnamese pork chop. A little goes a long way with this sauce. Stick to the serving size due to the sodium levels.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbl Rice Wine Vinegar - Or Lime Juice
  • 1-1/2 Tbl Fish Sauce
  • 6 Tbl Water
  • 3 Garlic Clove - Minced
  • 3 Tbl Maple Syrup

Variations

Additional Notes

To reduce the sodium even more, try substituting with vegetarian fish sauce. We practice moderation with regular fish sauce because we love it so much, but vegetarian fish sauce works really well here, too.
