Red Enchilada Sauce

Ingredients

  • 8 Garlic Cloves - Minced
  • 1 Canned Chipotle Pepper in Adobo Sauce - Minced
  • 1-1/2 Cups Canned No Salt Added Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Honey
  • 3/4 Cup Chicken Broth, 33% Less Sodium
  • 1 Tsp Chipotle Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Cumin
  • Black Pepper - To taste

Preparation

Step 1:

In medium saucepan, spray oil and saute garlic over medium heat. Add chipotle chiles, tomato sauce, honey, chicken broth, chipotle powder, cumin, and black pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce to low and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Set aside.
