Perfectly Roasted Brussel Sprouts

We had tried many times to roast Brussels sprouts with little success. This vegetable always seemed undercooked or bitter. We always wondered how restaurants could make these little vegetables so tasty - until we tried this method. And voila! We found how to make Perfectly Roasted Brussel Sprouts!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels Sprouts - Bottoms trimmed and cut in half
  • 1 Tbl Olive Oil

Preparation

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 425F degrees. Bring a medium pot with water to a boil. Blanch the Brussels sprouts for 3 minutes.

Step 2:

Oil an unlined baking sheet and spread the Brussels sprouts face down. Bake for 25 minutes and serve.

Variations

Mix a creamy garlic yogurt sauce or drizzle hot honey over the top. Toss with a balsamic vinaigrette. Sprinkle pomegranate seeds or sliced almonds.
