Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Flour, All Purpose
  • 2-1/2 Cup Milk, 1% Low Fat
  • Black Pepper - To taste

Preparation

Step 1:

In a saucepan on medium-high heat, whisk together the olive oil and flour. Heat the milk in the microwave for 2.5 minutes. While whisking, slowly add the hot milk to the roux. Simmer the sauce while occationally whisking until the sauce thickens to desired consistency, about 20 minutes. Season to taste.
